Grilled Marinated Shrimp Skewers

I made a quick marinade of extra virgin olive oil, grated ginger, chopped garlic, fresh cracked black pepper, Old Bay, a dash of red pepper flakes, paprika and let them bask in that for a few hours

Let us begin by cleaning, deveining, and butterflying the shrimp

The marinade is a-waitin..just mix it all together.  I so love the smell of fresh ginger

Make sure the shrimp is coated well, and let it marinate! The longer the better. There are no acid elements such as citrus juices, so we can let the shrimp marinate as long as we want. Acid tends to “cook” seafood, so that calls for a shorter time if those were used.

Onto those skewers that had been soaking in water for at least 30 minutes

Grill’em! I was doing some night-time grilling that evening.

Serve with those grilled veggies and a slice of grilled lemon for garnish

A nice glass of white wine tops it off
